Ganges, Nanaimo, Pender Harbor

We departed Friday Harbor on May 4, 2019. Where were we headed? North. That’s about all we knew. We had made reservations for Mid-June in Glacier Bay, Alaska - a place in South East Alaska I had never been - but how long would it take to get there? Would we be able to make it? These were valid and yet unanswered questions. We had been planning this trip for over 6-months, preparing the boat, taking classes on cruising the inside passage, and talking to many seasoned sailors who had done it. There were still many unknowns, and unknown unkowns. Sjora ship's journal below. (editor's note: we started writing the journal in third person, then switched to first person)
